Aw, the winter life of a child in Jackson Hole. Wake up, ski powder with your friend, bet him that he can't flatspin off a rock, fall with no regrets while learning new tricks because the snow is soft and your bones are rubber, and then head home to a fresh home-cooked meal. Life is good.

Possibly an above average season so far at Pano,  people may forget how spoiled we have been over the past three years.  Same garbage snowpack for slack, so close to the Rocky Mountain Trench.  High winds hit hard monday, all kinds of damage, a 3.5 was also observed tuesday past the resort and had taken out a section of Toby Creek Road.

Pano. Footage consists of latest slackcountry lap. A couple of cliff bands just out of reach of the ski hill flaglines. At song change "Gut-shot" has filled in nicely this year(1:25).When you see the Pontoons get ready to bail(1:50).

The 2011-2012 winter in Niseko Japan has been a good one, almost record breaking in fact. At the begining of March over 19m of snow has fallen, that's almost 60 feet! I had the privilege of being back in town during a week of epic deep dry pow which Niseko is famous for. With 61 cms in 48 hours Kicking Horse Resort experienced one of it's best January storms ever. Ave Perry caught multiple shots that evidence both the top and lower mountain in all time shape.
